Thanks to UNHCR
We're really grateful to everyone who wrote letters, cards
and e-mails
of thanks to UNHCR for their help with some of the Iranian
brethren who
have been given asylum status by them. A BBFU co-worker made a
trip to
Geneva and met Mr. Wakwoya in person and thanked him on your
behalf in
person for their efforts and presented him with the
cards.
She writes:
"Cards safely delivered, and nice photo taken...Just a very
brief, but
very pleasant meeting. He seemed pleased with the cards,
pleased to have
been able to help. Said he'd show the cards to his colleagues,
and
introduced me to his replacement: she sounded North American.
So thank you all, and keep praying that UNHCR will consider
leniently
the other brethren and sisters whom we've presented to them.
